Here at Recreation Church, it should never be about us. We strive to make everything we do about Jesus and those that He loves. Because of this, we have come to understand that our church is not limited by it’s walls. We have initiated four social projects that we believe will make a significant impact in people’s lives.
Vision – Children in Park Heights grow up with little hope and few community resources; there are a dearth of recreation centers and no facilities that teach martial arts. Beginning last Summer, Recreation Church partnered with several of Baltimore’s most successful Jiu-Jitsu practitioners, to offer the children in our community free lessons in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Along with these lessons, each child will be provided with a nutritious snackand a Jiu-Jitsu gi (uniform) furnished by free of charge by Deus Fight Company.

Vision – Nearly 50% of the residents in Park Heights community, live at or below the poverty line. The objective of our bi-weekly feeding program is to ensure that all income eligible recipients, within our community, will be provided food to supply their pantries or their immediate dietary needs. We are dedicated to serving those who are in need in our community.
Vision – To provide a 100% free fitness center for the residents of the Park Heights community in Baltimore, MD. Recreation Fitness will be a place where people can learn to improve their health by getting stronger and learning how to make positive body changes. Improving health and becoming stronger will improve self-steem, provide a positive outlet for coping with stress, and therefore promoting good mental health and well-being.
